Viniline (or Shostakovsky Balsam) is a drug from the group of drugs that have antimicrobial (bacteriostatic) and anti-inflammatory activity. In addition, the drug helps cleanse wounds, stimulates epithelialization (regeneration processes) of tissues, thus contributing to the rapid healing of injuries. When taken orally, Vinyline reduces secretion, acidity and proteolytic activity of the digestive juice, as well as reduces the motor activity of the intestinal tract.
Release form and composition
Viniline is available as a balm. One vial contains 50 or 100 grams of polyvinox - a substance that is polyvinyl butyl ether and is a thick yellowish viscous liquid with a characteristic specific odor. Viniline is sold in dark glass bottles of 50 and 100 grams, respectively.
Indications for use
According to the instructions for Vinilin, as an external agent, the use of the drug is advisable when:
- Boils (acute purulent-necrotic inflammation that extends to the hair follicle, sebaceous gland and surrounding tissue);
- Carbuncles (acute purulent-necrotic inflammation that affects the skin and the layer of subcutaneous fat, localized around a group of hair sacs and sebaceous glands, tends to spread rapidly);
- Trophic ulcers;
- Wounds of soft tissues, including purulent;
- Mastitis (purulent inflammation of the breast);
- Strepto-staphyloderma (pustular skin diseases);
- Post-injury lesions (with cancer).
Topical use of Vinilina is recommended for:
- Periodontal disease;
- Irritation of the oral mucosa due to the use of removable dentures;
- Anal fissures.
Inside Viniline, according to the instructions taken inside with:
- Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;
- Exacerbation of chronic gastritis, which is characterized by increased secretory function of the stomach;
- Ulcerative colitis;
- Crohn's disease;
- Erosive gastritis;
- Hyperacid gastritis with high acidity.
The use of Vinilin, according to the instructions, is prohibited:
- With increased sensitivity to polyvinox;
- In diseases of the kidneys, liver and / or gallbladder;
- In pediatric practice.
Dosing and Administration
Viniline is intended for both external and local use, and for oral administration.
If skin problems should be well moistened with a napkin in a balm and cover it with the wound surface. The amount of solution depends on the extent of the lesion.
For colitis and dysentery, Vinyline is applied topically through a recto scope by 25–40 ml or in the form of microclysters by 15–30 ml. The duration of treatment is from 3 to 9 days.
For stomatitis, gingivitis, glossitis and other diseases of the oral cavity, the solution is used for rinsing.
In case of sore throat it is recommended to moisten a clean cotton swab in a balm and lubricate the tonsils 3-4 times a day.
When external hemorrhoids gauze cloth moistened in Vinyl, put between the buttocks and leave for 30 minutes. A day is recommended 2-4 procedures. For internal hemorrhoids, 2 ml of the heated solution is injected into the rectum with a syringe. The course of treatment is 1-2 weeks.
Inside Vinylinum should be taken at least 5 hours after the last meal (usually 5-6 hours). Optimally recommended to do the following: around 18:00 to use a light dinner, and at 23: 00-24: 00 to take the solution.
The doctor determines the specific dosage and duration of the course in each case individually, taking into account the type of disease and the severity of its course.
So, with a stomach ulcer or duodenal ulcer, as a rule, the patient is shown taking 1 teaspoonful of the remedy on the first day of treatment. From the second day of the course, the dose is increased to a dessert spoon. Treatment is recommended to continue from 16 to 20 days.
With gastritis with increased secretory function, as well as with severe heartburn, the dosage regimen and dosage are the same as for a peptic ulcer, but the treatment course is shorter - from 10 to 12 days.
According to numerous reviews, while observing the dosage prescribed by the doctor, Vinilin does not have any side effects.
In some cases, mainly with intolerance to the active substance or hypersensitivity to it, allergic reactions may develop.
Drug interaction Vinilina not described. Cases of drug overdose in medical practice were not registered.
Due to the lack of sufficient experience of using Vinilin in the treatment of pregnant and lactating women, during pregnancy and during lactation, it is not recommended to take it inside. External use of balm is allowed.
The generic (structural analogue) of Vinilin is Shostakovsky Balsam.

Terms and conditions of storage
Viniline is classified as a non-prescription drug. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, it should be stored at room temperature, in a tightly closed vial. Under these conditions, the life of the balm is 5 years. Keep out of the reach of children!
