Vesicare is a drug used to treat urological diseases.
Release form and composition
Vesicare is released in the form of biconvex light yellow round film-coated tablets, on one side of which there is a company logo and “150” marking, in blisters of 10 pieces.
One tablet contains 5 mg of solifenacin succinate and excipients - 1.5 mg of magnesium stearate, 6 mg of hypromellose 3 mPa x s, 30 mg of cornstarch and 107.5 mg of lactose monohydrate.
The film shell contains 4 mg of iron oxide yellow.
They also produce round light pink biconvex Vezikar tablets, film-coated, with the company logo and the marking “151” on one side, in blisters of 10 pieces each.
Each of them contains 10 mg of solifenacin succinate and such excipients as:
- 6 mg of hypromellose 3 MPa x s;
- 30 mg of corn starch;
- 102.5 mg lactose monohydrate;
- 1.5 mg of magnesium stearate.
The composition of the film shell includes 4 mg of opadra pink 03F1489511.
Indications for use
Vesicare is used in the treatment of imperative urination, urge incontinence and frequent urination.
The use of Vesicare is contraindicated in myasthenia gravis, hemodialysis, urinary retention, severe hepatic and renal failure, severe gastrointestinal diseases, in cases of hypersensitivity to the components that make up the tool, and angle-closure glaucoma.
The drug is not prescribed to patients with glucose-galactose malabsorption, lactase deficiency of lapps, as well as rare inherited disorders of the tolerance of galactose.
Dosing and Administration
The drug is taken orally, regardless of the meal, with water, 5 mg once a day, with a possible increase in the dose of Vesicare to 10 mg.
The instructions to Vesicare indicated that the agent can cause peripheral edema, dryness of the oral mucosa, fatigue, urinary tract infections, as well as side effects from some body systems, namely:
