Venitane is a drug intended for the normalization of venous vessels.
Release form and composition

Venitan cream is produced in tubes of 50 mg 1%. The drug in the form of a cream, in addition to providing a therapeutic effect, also helps moisturize the skin.
Venitan gel is produced in tubes of 50 g each, the content of the medicinal substance is 1%.
The main component of Venitana is escin (10 mg per 1 g of the drug).
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Venitan is indicated for the treatment of:
- Venous insufficiency, accompanied by severe pain, feeling of heaviness in the legs, swelling of the legs, night cramps in the calf muscles;
- Varicose veins;
- Feeling of heaviness in the legs, resulting from prolonged standing or during pregnancy;
- Oteka soft tissue resulting from damage to the ligaments, bruises.
Venitan is prescribed to accelerate the resorption of post-traumatic hematomas and infiltrates after injections.
Under certain conditions, Venitane can be prescribed to healthy people with:
- Hereditary predisposition to varicose veins;
- Sedentary lifestyle, when a person is forced to stay in a sitting or standing position for a long time;
- Sports, involving an increased load on the muscles of the legs;
- The presence of signs such as tired legs in the evenings.
According to the instructions, Venitan is contraindicated only in the presence of hypersensitivity to the active component of the drug.
The drug should be used with caution in people with a tendency to thrombosis.
Dosing and Administration
Venitane in the form of a gel or cream is used only externally. The drug is recommended to be applied 2-3 times a day with a thin layer and with light massaging movements to be rubbed into the skin.
Venitan cream is recommended to be applied in the evening, combining its application with a light massage. Venitan gel, by contrast, is intended for use in the morning. The duration of therapy may be different and depends primarily on the severity of the disease, as well as on the severity of the therapeutic effect.
During the application of Venitana for the treatment of varicose veins, it is recommended to use special bandages, stockings and elastic bandages simultaneously.
Escin - the active component of Venitana - is a substance of natural origin, therefore, its use, as a rule, does not cause side effects and in most cases is tolerated by patients.
Some people may experience allergic reactions due to hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. In very rare cases, the drug can cause dermatitis, a rash on the skin.
It is not recommended to use Venitane on damaged skin, in the presence of purulent processes, as well as on mucous membranes.
If the patient has severe symptoms of venous insufficiency (pain, feeling of tension, discoloration of the skin, swelling) resulting from the use of the drug, an examination should be conducted to rule out venous thrombosis of the lower extremities.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, there are no restrictions on the use of Venitan gel or cream. The drug does not have a systemic effect, and there have been no reports of its negative impact during these periods.

According to the instructions, Venitane should be stored in a dark, dry, cool and out of reach of children. The shelf life of both dosage forms is 2 years.
