Nikodin - a drug with choleretic, bactericidal and bacteriostatic action.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - tablets (10 pieces per pack).
The active ingredient of the drug is hydroxymethyl nicotinamide: in 1 tablet 0.5 g.
Indications for use
- Gastroenteritis;
- Cholelithiasis;
- Cholangitis;
- Cholecystitis;
- Hepatocholecystitis;
- Urinary tract infections.
Contraindications
The main contraindication to the use of Nikodin - hypersensitivity to the drug.
With caution, the agent should be used for anacid gastritis and cholestasis.
Dosing and Administration
Nikodin should be taken orally before meals with half a glass of water.
Usually prescribed 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day. In febrile conditions, the dose may be increased to 16 tablets, but after a decrease in body temperature, it is gradually reduced first to 6-8 tablets, then to 1-2.
The duration of treatment is 10-14 days, if necessary, repeat the course.
Side effects
In some cases, there is an increase in pain in the right hypochondrium.
With anacid gastritis may increase dyspeptic disorders.

For anacid gastritis, it is recommended to take Acidene-Pepsin, gastric juice, or diluted hydrochloric acid.
