Nigepan is a drug that has an antithrombotic, anti-inflammatory and local anesthetic effect. Used in proctology.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - rectal suppositories: torpedo-shaped, white, possible yellowish tint (5 pieces in blisters, in a carton pack 2 packs).
Active ingredients in 1 suppositories:
- Sodium Heparin - 8.3 mg (1000 IU);
- Benzocaine - 50 mg.
Excipients: distilled monoglycerides, witepsol, purified water.
Indications for use
Nigepan is used to treat thrombosis of hemorrhoids (both external and internal).
The main contraindication to the use of the drug - hypersensitivity to its components.
Dosing and Administration
Nigepan is used rectally in 1 suppository twice a day.
The duration of treatment is 10-14 days.
Basically, the drug is well tolerated, in rare cases, allergic reactions occur.
The safety of using Nigepana during pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
