Mucosat is a drug that regulates metabolism in cartilage tissue.
Release form and composition
Mucosate is produced in the form of a solution for intramuscular administration: transparent, colorless or with a slight yellowish tinge, with the smell of benzyl alcohol (1 or 2 ml in glass ampoules, 5 ampoules in a blister, 1 package or 2 packages).
The active ingredient of Mucosate is chondroitin sodium sulfate: in 1 ml - 100 mg.
Excipients: water for injection and benzyl alcohol.
Indications for use
Mucosat is used to treat degenerative diseases of the spine and joints:
- Intervertebral osteochondrosis (dystrophic disorders in articular cartilage);
- Osteoarthritis (damage to the cartilage tissue of the articular surfaces).
- Propensity to bleed;
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Dosing and Administration
Mucosat is intended for intramuscular administration. The initial dose is 1 ml with a frequency of application every other day. In the case of good tolerability of the drug, starting from the 4th injection, the dose is increased to 2 ml.
The general therapeutic course consists of 25-30 injections. If the need arises, after 6 months, repeat treatment is given.
Hemorrhage and allergic reactions may develop at the site of Mucosate injection (they require discontinuation of the drug).
There are no data on the safety of Mucosate during pregnancy and lactation.
The drug should be used with caution simultaneously with direct-acting anticoagulants.
Mucosat can enhance the action of antiplatelet agents, fibrinolytics and indirect anticoagulants.

Store at a temperature of 0-20 ° C in a dark place out of the reach of children.
