Mykozolon is a combined external drug with antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action.
Release form and composition
Mycozolon is produced in the form of ointment for external use (in tubes of 15 g, 1 tube in a carton box).
The composition of 1 tube includes active substances:
- Miconazole - 20 mg;
- Mazipredon - 2.5 mg (as hydrochloride).
Auxiliary components: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, polysorbate 60, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol, purified water.
Indications for use
- Fungal lesions of the nails and skin, occurring with severe itching and inflammation;
- Mycoses occurring with Gram-positive bacteria-induced superinfection.
- Precancerous skin diseases and tumors;
- Herpetic infections;
- Natural and chicken pox;
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Dosing and Administration
Mykozolon applied externally.
Apply the ointment to the affected skin twice a day.
In the treatment of nail infections, the drug is applied after removal of the affected nail segments in the form of an occlusive dressing. Therapy must be continued continuously until complete regeneration of the nails.
In the treatment of infection of the ears, Micozolon is applied to the turunds, which are introduced 2 times a day into the external auditory canal.
The duration of treatment is from 2 to 5 weeks.
When using Mycozolon according to the recommended dosing regimen, no side effects were identified.
Before applying, the affected nails should be cut as short as possible. Therapy should be continued until complete recovery and after the rejection of the affected nail (usually for 2-3 months).
There is no data on the interaction of Mycozolon with other drugs.
