Meteospasmil is a combined antispasmodic drug that helps reduce gas formation in the intestine.
Release form and composition
Meteospasmil released in the form of capsules: size number 6, light yellow, soft, shiny, oblong; the contents of the capsules - a thick white suspension (10 pieces in blisters, 2-4 blisters in a carton box).
The composition of 1 capsule contains the active substances:
- Simethicone - 300 mg;
- Alverin citrate - 60 mg.
Auxiliary components: medium density triglycerides, soy lecithin.
The composition of the shell of the capsule: glycerol, gelatin, titanium dioxide, purified water.
Indications for use
Meteospasmil prescribed for functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, manifested in the form of belching, nausea, gas, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea or alternation of these symptoms.
Also, the drug is used in preparation for the ultrasound, x-ray or instrumental examination of the abdominal cavity.
- Age up to 14 years;
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
The use of Meteospasmila nursing and pregnant women are not recommended.
Dosing and Administration
Meteospasmil take orally before eating.
Single dose - 1 capsule, the multiplicity of reception - 2-3 times a day.
When preparing for the study of abdominal organs Meteospazmil should be taken 2-3 times a day, 1 capsule on the eve of the study and 1 capsule in the morning on the day of the study.
During the use of Meteospasmila, the following side effects may develop:
- Digestive system: rarely - functional disorders of the liver (disappear on their own after interruption of therapy);
- Allergic reactions: rarely - urticaria (passes on its own after cessation of treatment), anaphylactic shock, laryngeal edema.
