Release form and composition
Mederma produced in the form of a gel (in tubes of 20 g).
The preparation includes: methylparaben, water, flavoring, xanthan, allantoin, sorbic acid, Cepalin, PEG-4.
Indications for use
Medermu is recommended to be used to eliminate (reduce) cosmetic scars arising from minor skin damage, laser therapy (including after tattoo removal), acne (including after dermabrasion).
Also, the drug is effective against stretch marks that have arisen as a result of a sharp change in weight or pregnancy.
The use of Mederma is contraindicated in the presence of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Dosing and Administration
Mederm can only be used after wound healing. When using it, it is recommended to perform a special massage technique. The gel is rubbed 3-4 times a day into problem areas with light pressure until it is completely absorbed (within 3-5 minutes). Massage the area of application of the drug should be from the center to the periphery with gentle pressure in a circular and zigzag movements along the length of the scar or stretching of the skin.
The recommended duration of treatment for skin stretching, burns, and after acne scars is 3-6 months. For other cosmetic scars, as well as for scars that have arisen after surgery, possibly longer treatment.
Mederma is well tolerated even with prolonged use.
