MacMiror complex is a drug with antifungal, antiprotozoal and antibacterial action, intended for topical use in gynecology.
Release form and composition
- Vaginal suppositories: ovoid, soft gelatin, yellow with brown tint; content - oily yellow suspension (8 or 12 pieces in blisters, in a cardboard bundle 1 blister);
- Vaginal cream: liquid, homogeneous, yellow (30 g each in aluminum tubes, in a cardboard bundle one tube complete with an applicator (graduated syringe)).
Active ingredients in 1 suppositories:
- Nifuratel - 500 mg;
- Nystatin - 200 thousand IU.
Auxiliary component: dimethylpolysiloxane AK 1000 (dimethicone).
Shell composition: gelatin, propyl parahydroxybenzoate sodium, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate sodium, titanium dioxide, glycerol, ferric oxide yellow.
Active ingredients in 1 gram of cream:
- Nifuratel - 100 mg;
- Nystatin - 40 thousand IU.
Auxiliary components: propylene glycol, sorbitol 70% solution, carbomer, triethanolamine 30%, propyl parahydroxybenzoate sodium, methyl parahydroxybenzoate sodium, glycerol, xalifin 15, purified water.
Indications for use
McMiror complex is used as part of the complex therapy of vulvovaginal infections, the causative agents of which are microorganisms sensitive to the drug: chlamydia, Candida fungi, trichomonads and bacteria.
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its components.
Vaginal suppositories should not be used to treat children.
Dosing and Administration
Both dosage forms of the McMiror complex are intended for intravaginal use.
If a different treatment regimen has not been prescribed by a doctor, suppositories of 1 pc each. should be administered deep into the vagina 1 time per day for 8 days. If necessary, after the end of menstruation, you can repeat the course of treatment.
To achieve the maximum therapeutic effect, the suppository should be inserted into the upper part of the vagina.
In the form of a vaginal cream, the drug must be administered 1-2 times a day (morning and / or evening) at 2.5 g. The course of treatment is 8 days.
For ease of introduction, a graduated applicator is supplied with the cream. Instructions for its use:
- Screw on a tube of cream;
- Pressing on the tube, dial the required amount of the drug (in accordance with the scale lines marked on the applicator, indicating the amount in grams);
- Disconnect from tuba;
- Insert into the vagina and squeeze the contents by pressing on the rod.
Thanks to a special nozzle, you can enter the cream without damaging the hymen. To do this, before introducing the drug into the vagina, remove the cannula from the top of the applicator rod and screw it onto the syringe head on the opposite side.
Basically, the Makmiror complex is well tolerated, in rare cases allergic reactions such as skin rashes and itching occur.
Due to the high risk of re-infection, it is recommended that both sexual partners be treated at the same time. For the same reason, during therapy, it is recommended to abstain from intimate relationships.
If indicated, the drug can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
McMiror complex does not affect the speed of reactions and the ability to concentrate, so it can be used by people employed in any production.
Clinically significant interaction of McMiror complex with other drugs has not been established.
