Lutein Forte is a dietary supplement with antihypoxic and antioxidant effects, used in the treatment of diseases of the retina.
Release form and composition
Lutein Forte is produced in the form of 500 mg capsules: solid, cylindrical with hemispherical ends (10 pieces in blisters, 3 or 6 blisters in a carton box).
The composition of 1 capsule contains the active substances:
- Lutein - 4.5 mg;
- Taurine - 100 mg;
- Zeaxanthin - 0.5 mg;
- Ginkgo biloba (extract) - 20 mg;
- Copper (in the form of sulfate) - 1.5 mg;
- Selenium (in yeast) - 0.025 mg;
- Zinc (in the form of sulfate) - 7.5 mg;
- Chromium (in the form of picolinate) - 0.05 mg;
- Vitamin C - 50 mg;
- Vitamin A - 1650 IU;
- Vitamin E - 15 mg.
Indications for use
Lutein forte is prescribed as an additional source of zeaxanthin, lutein, microelements and vitamins in the treatment of age-related macular dystrophy (simultaneously with other drugs).
The supplement is also shown to reduce the risk of dystrophic processes in the central zone of the retina.
Lutein Forte should not be taken in the presence of hypersensitivity to the drug.
Dosing and Administration
Supplements are taken orally, preferably with meals.
Children from 14 years old and adults are prescribed 2 times a day, 1 capsule.
The recommended course duration is at least 1 month.
When used in recommended doses, the development of side effects was noted.
