Lamicon is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent.
Release form and composition
Lamicon is available in the form of tablets for oral administration, ointment and spray for external use.
The active ingredient of the drug is terbinafine: in 1 tablet - 0.25 g, in spray and cream - 1%.
- Tablets: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, corn starch, aerosil, magnesium stearate;
- Spray: propylene glycol, poloxamer 407, macrogol ether 20 cetostearyl, benzoic acid, edetate disodium, water for injection;
- Cream: soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, phenylethyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide, poloxamer 407, macrogol ether 20 cetostearyl, purified water.
Indications for use
Lamicon is used to treat onychomycosis, mycosis of the scalp, ringworm of the trunk and extremities, and skin candidiasis.
- Acute and chronic diseases of the kidneys and liver with symptoms of renal / hepatic failure;
- Blood disorders;
- Metabolic disorders;
- Oncological diseases;
- Children's age up to 3 years - for tablets, up to 12 years - for cream;
- Pregnancy and lactation;
- Hypersensitivity to terbinafine or auxiliary components of the drug.
Dosing and Administration
In the form of tablets Lamikon should be taken orally after a meal: for adults and children weighing more than 40 kg - 1 pc. 1 time a day, children weighing less than 40 kg - 1/2 tablet 1 time per day.
The duration of onychomycosis treatment is 6-12 weeks, skin candidiasis, ringworm of the scalp, body, feet and hands - 2-6 weeks.
Lamikon cream should be applied with a thin layer to thoroughly cleansed and dry skin 1-2 times a day, depending on the nature and severity of the disease.
Spray Lamicon should be sprayed on cleaned and dry damaged areas of the body in an amount sufficient to moisturize them. Frequency of application and duration of therapy depend on the type, nature and severity of the disease.
Possible side effects when taking the drug in the form of tablets: a feeling of heaviness or aching pain in the epigastric region, a change in taste, nausea, loss of appetite, a violation of the outflow of bile, and allergic reactions, manifested by urticaria.
In case of external application of Lamicon, itching, hyperemia and burning in the place of spray / cream application are possible.
If ingested too high a dose of terbinafine, pain in the epigastric region, nausea and vomiting, headache and dizziness may occur. In this case, it is recommended to do a gastric lavage and take activated charcoal or another adsorbent. Further treatment of overdose is symptomatic.
In case of a premature termination of the course of treatment, a relapse of the disease is possible.
With multi-colored lichen, local treatment is more effective than systemic.
In patients with impaired renal function, the dose is halved.
When applying the spray and cream should avoid contact with eyes. Spray can not be applied to the face.
When treating fungal diseases of the feet, antifungal treatment of socks and shoes is recommended.
The drug has no effect on the reaction rate and ability to concentrate.
Beta-blockers inhibit terbinafine biotransformation and increase its concentration in the blood.
Inhibitors of cytochrome P450 reduce the clearance of terbinafine, rifampicin increases.

Store at temperatures up to 25 ºC in a dry, dark place.
