Quinax - a drug used in cataracts.
Release form and composition
Quinax dosage form - eye drops, which are a transparent solution of purple-red color (in 15 ml drop Tainer plastic dropper bottles, 1 bottle in a cardboard box).
The active ingredient of the drug is sodium azapentacene polysulphonate: 150 µg / 1 ml.
Auxiliary components - methylparaben, thiomersal, purified water, propylparaben, boric acid.
Indications for use
Quinax is intended for the treatment of cataracts of various origins - senile, traumatic, congenital, secondary.
The drug is contraindicated in only one case - in the presence of hypersensitivity to any component.
The experience of using Quinax in children is not enough, therefore, in pediatrics, the agent is prescribed only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risks of side effects.
Dosing and Administration
The solution is instilled into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye, 1-2 drops from 3 to 5 times per day.
Quinax is intended for long-term treatment, the duration of the course is determined by the doctor. Even in the case of a rapid improvement in the state, one should not interrupt therapy.
When used in doses recommended by a doctor, the drug is generally well tolerated. In rare cases, there are allergic reactions in the form of burning and itching in the eyelids.
Cases of overdose are unknown.
Patients who wear contact lenses, before dropping the solution is recommended to remove them, and install no earlier than 15 minutes.
During the instillation of Quinax, special care should be taken not to touch the tip of the dropper to any surface, including the eyes.
After applying the drops, temporary clarity of vision is possible, therefore, for some time after the procedures, you should not get behind the wheel, work with complex techniques and perform tasks that require visual acuity.
Pharmaceutical interaction of sodium azapentacene polysulfonate with other medicinal substances is not described.

Store at a temperature of 8-24 ºС protected from light in a place with limited access to children.
Shelf life - 3 years. The opened vial is usable for 1 month.
