Clemastine is a histamine- 1 receptor blocker that has antiallergic and sedative effects.
Release form and composition
Clemastin is produced in the form of tablets (15 pieces in blisters, in a cardboard bundle 2 packs).
The active ingredient of the drug is clemastine fumarate (1 mg in 1 tablet).
Indications for use
- Contact dermatitis;
- Acute and chronic eczema;
- Quincke’s edema;
- Bronchial asthma.
- Children's age up to 6 years;
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Dosing and Administration
Clemastin should be taken orally.
Children over 12 years old and adults are usually prescribed 1 tablet 2 times a day - in the morning and in the evening. For diseases that are difficult to treat, the daily dose may be increased to 6 tablets.
Children 6-12 years old appoint 1 / 2-1 tablet 2 times a day - before breakfast and at night.
When taking the drug in some cases, dyspepsia and general weakness may occur.
During the period of treatment, it is recommended to refrain from potentially dangerous activities, including driving vehicles.
Clemastine enhances the action of hypnotic drugs and sedatives, glamide, barbiturates and ethanol, weakens - indirect anticoagulants, butazolidine and hydantoinal.
Terms and conditions of storage
Store at a temperature of 15-25 ºС in a dry place, protected from the penetration of sunlight, but with limited access for children.
Shelf life - 4 years.
