Kandibiotics is a combination drug with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, local anesthetic and antifungal effects, used locally in ENT practice.
Release form and composition
Candibiotic is produced in the form of ear drops (light yellow transparent liquid), in dark glass bottles complete with a pipette of 5 ml, 1 bottle in a cardboard box.
The composition of 1 ml of active substances:
- Lidocaine hydrochloride (in the form of monohydrate) - 20 mg;
- Beclomethasone dipropionate - 0.25 mg;
- Chloramphenicol - 50 mg;
- Clotrimazole - 10 mg.
Auxiliary components that make up the drug: propylene glycol, glycerol.
Indications for use
Candiotics are prescribed to treat allergic and inflammatory diseases of the ear, including:
- External otitis (diffuse and acute);
- Chronic otitis in the acute stage;
- Acute otitis media;
- Conditions after surgical interventions performed on the ear.
- Violation of the integrity of the eardrum;
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
For children, the drug is prescribed from 6 years.
The question of the feasibility of using Candibiotics in pregnant women is decided individually by a doctor. Its purpose is possible in the case when the intended benefit of treatment for the mother is higher than the potential risk to the fetus.
There are no data on the safety of Candibiotic use by nursing women.
Dosing and Administration
Candidiotic buried in the ear canal. Single dose - 4-5 drops. Frequency of use - 3-4 times a day.
Improvement in condition is usually observed after 3-5 days.
The treatment course is 7-10 days.
