Most often, when using Groprinozin in patients, there is an increase in the concentration of uric acid in urine and serum.

It is important to consider that in acute viral infections, Groprinosin is most effective if therapy is started when the first signs of the disease appear (at an early stage).
The drug is used both for monotherapy and in combination with antibacterial and other etiotropic agents.
Patients with diabetes should consider that in 1 ml of syrup contains 650 mg of sucrose.
Due to the fact that the active ingredient of the drug inosine pranobex is metabolized to uric acid and can increase its concentration in the urine (especially in elderly patients and men), the syrup is prescribed with caution to patients with hyperuricemia, gout, renal failure and urolithiasis.
If the use of Groprinosin in patients with these diseases is necessary, it is recommended that the concentration of uric acid be carefully monitored during therapy. In cases of prolonged use of the drug, it is advisable to monitor monthly liver function, the concentration of uric acid in urine and serum, parameters of renal function and the composition of peripheral blood.
Patients during drug therapy should be careful when driving vehicles and complex mechanisms.
Synonymous with the drug are Izoprinozin and Novirin. Groprinosin analogues include Coldrex Maxgripp, Bioaron S, Combigripp Dex, Grippferon, Antiflu Kids, Interferon, Antigrippin, Milistan, Roztiran and Fervex.
