Gidazepam is an anxiolytic agent used to treat diseases of the nervous system.
Release form and composition
Gidazepam is produced in the form of round white with a cream tinge of tablets, in blisters of 10 pieces.
One tablet contains 20 mg or 50 mg of gidazepam and excipients - polyvinylpyrrolidone, potato starch, calcium stearate and milk sugar (granulak 200).
Indications for use
Hydazepam is used to treat vegetative lability, logoneurosis, migraine, as well as in the following cases:
- Alcohol withdrawal syndrome;
- Neurosis-like and neurotic states.
The use of Gidazepam is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to the components included in its composition. Also, the drug is not prescribed to patients with liver failure, myasthenia and chronic renal failure.
During pregnancy and during the breastfeeding period, the use of the drug is unacceptable.
With care, Gidazepam is prescribed for open-angle glaucoma.
Dosing and Administration
Tablets are taken orally (without chewing), with a small amount of water. The dosage of Gidazepam is 1-2 tablets (0.02 g) three times a day, followed by a gradual increase in dose until a therapeutic effect appears.
On average, the daily dose of the drug in the treatment of patients with psychosomatic, neurotic, psycho-like and neurosis-like conditions is from 3 to 6 tablets, with migraine - 2 or 3 pcs.
The initial dose of the drug required for the relief of alcohol withdrawal is 1 tablet (0.05 g), and the average daily dose is 3 pcs.
The duration of Gidazepam therapy is determined by the doctor individually and directly depends on the patient's condition and the tolerability of the drug. On average, it varies from a few days to 2-4 months.
The instructions for Gidazepam indicate that the drug can cause lethargy, drowsiness, drug dependence, myasthenia, and also:
- Slowing down the speed of motor and mental reactions;
- Allergic reactions;
- Unsteady gait;
- Violation of short-term memory;
- Decreased libido and potency;
- Decreased ability to concentrate.
