Hexavit is a multivitamin preparation designed to prevent hypovitaminosis.
Release form and composition
They produce Hexavit in the form of spherical orange-yellow (greenish-yellow) dragees with a characteristic odor in polymeric cans of 50 pcs.
One tablet contains 5000 IU of retinol acetate or retinol palmitate, 70 mg of ascorbic acid, 15 mg of nicotinamide, 2 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride and riboflavin, and 2.6 mg of thiamine bromide or 2 mg of thiamine chloride.
Indications for use
Hexavit, according to the instructions, is used to prevent hypovitaminosis. Also, the drug is prescribed after long-term therapy with antibacterial agents, to increase the body's resistance to colds and infectious diseases and improve visual acuity in patients whose professional activity requires increased attention.
The use of Hexavita is contraindicated in children under 18 years of age, as well as in cases of hypersensitivity to the components that make up the product.
The drug is not indicated during pregnancy and during the period of breastfeeding.
Dosing and Administration
Dragee Hexavit taken orally after a meal, 1 pc. per day. The duration of therapy is 30 days. After 2-3 months and only on the recommendation of a doctor, the course of therapy can be repeated.
The instructions for Hexavit indicated that the drug may cause allergic reactions. It is important not to exceed the daily dose indicated in the instructions, and in case of accidentally taking large doses of the drug, immediately consult a doctor.
In case of an overdose of Hexavit it is also important to immediately consult a doctor. In such cases, a temporary suspension of treatment with an agent, gastric lavage, and the appointment of activated carbon and symptomatic treatment are required.
The use of Hexavit is unacceptable at the same time as other vitamin preparations. Due to the fact that riboflavin is included in the composition, during urine staining in intense yellow color may occur.

Terms and conditions of storage
The instructions for Hexavit stated that the drug should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry, protected from light and out of reach of children, at room temperature.
Pharmacies dispensed over-the-counter medicine. The shelf life of pills, subject to compliance with all recommendations of the manufacturer, is one year. After the expiration date of Hexavit must be disposed of.
