Dormiplant - a drug that has a sedative effect, based on herbal ingredients.
Release form and composition
Dormiplant tablets are coated with a blue shell, smooth, round.
1 tablet contains the following active ingredients:
- 80 mg of dry lemon balm leaves extract;
- 160 mg of dry extract of valerian root.
Auxiliary substances of the drug: colloidal silicon dioxide, castor oil, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sucrose.
In blister packs of 25 tablets.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Dormiplant is indicated for use in:
- Bouts of gratuitous anxiety;
- Sleep disturbances;
- Irritability and anxiety caused by chronic stress and nervous overstrain.
According to the instructions, Dormiplant should not be used in the following cases:
- Children under 6 years of age (efficacy and safety of the use of the drug for this age group have not been established);
- Liver failure;
- Hypersensitivity to the active or auxiliary components of the drug.
Dosing and Administration
Dormiplant tablets are intended for internal use. The medicine is swallowed whole, drinking half a glass of water, regardless of the meal.
Children over 6 years old and adults are prescribed 2 tablets of the drug for sleep disorders and difficulty falling asleep 30 minutes before bedtime.
To eliminate the attacks of anxiety, irritability and excitability, children over 6 years old and adults are shown to use Dormiplant 2 tablets twice a day (2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets in the evening). As a rule, if, after a week of therapy, there is no improvement in the patient’s condition, it is necessary to consult a doctor to clarify the diagnosis and correct the therapeutic dose of the medication.
The use of Dormiplant is generally well tolerated by patients, side effects are extremely rare. The exceptions are cases of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, manifested as allergic reactions.
Patients with diabetes should be aware that 1 tablet of Dormiplant contains 0.12 g of carbohydrates.
Dormiplant enhances the effect of hypnotic drugs, drugs that have a depressant effect on the central nervous system, ethanol when used together. Therefore, it is recommended that the combination of these drugs change the treatment regimen.
Daily use of Dormiplant for 1.5-2 months in a row is contraindicated.
It is not recommended to prescribe Dormiplant during pregnancy when breast feeding a child due to the lack of sufficient research to date. The exceptions are situations where the expected benefit of the mother outweighs the potential risks to the fetus / child.
Since the rate of psychomotor reactions may decrease during drug therapy, it is necessary to carefully manage potentially dangerous mechanisms that require increased concentration of attention.

Terms and conditions of storage
According to the instructions, Dormiplant should be kept out of reach of children, cool (at a temperature of 15-25 degrees Celsius), dry and dark place. The shelf life of the drug is 3 years from the date of issue.
