Release form and composition
Dysmenorm is produced in the form of white with a chamfer and clear patches of flat-cylindrical tablets with a light fragrant odor, in dark glass bottles of 80 pcs.
The composition of one tablet includes 125 mg of Agnus castus, 25 mg of RosmarinusofficinalisD2, Pulsatillapratensis, Apis mellifica D3, and excipients such as:
- Wheat starch;
- Magnesium stearate;
- Lactose monohydrate.
Indications for use
Dismenorm is prescribed in cases of functional disorders of the menstrual cycle.
The use of Dysmenorm is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the active and auxiliary components in its composition, as well as in the following cases:
- Pituitary tumors;
- Glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome;
- Lactase deficiency;
- Pregnancy and during the breastfeeding period;
- Estrogen-dependent tumors;
- Hereditary forms of intolerance to galactose.
Dosing and Administration
The tablets are placed in the mouth and left in the mouth until completely absorbed half an hour before or after meals. If necessary, tablets can be dissolved in water.
Dosmenorm dosage for children over 12 years old and adults is 1-2 tablets three times a day. 28 days after the first use of the drug, the dose, while improving the patient's condition, should be reduced. The duration of therapy is 3 months or more.
The instructions for Dysmenorm indicate that the drug may cause such side effects as:
- Disruption of the menstrual cycle;
- Skin rashes;
- Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (nausea and abdominal pain).
No cases of drug overdose have been reported to date.
