Release form and composition
Ditsinon is available in tablets and in the form of a solution for injection.
The active substance of the drug - etamzilat. Its concentration in a single tablet - 250 mg, in 1 ml of solution - 125 mg.
As auxiliary components, Dicionon tablets include anhydrous citric acid, corn starch, magnesium stearate, povidone K25, lactose.
In addition to etamzilat, the solution contains sodium disulfite, water for injection, sodium bicarbonate (in some cases it is necessary to adjust the pH level).
Tablets are delivered to pharmacies packaged in 10 pieces in blisters, 10 blisters are sold in a carton. The solution for intramuscular and intravenous administration is realized in 2 ml ampoules of colorless glass, 10 ampoules in a blister, and 5 blisters in a carton box.
Indications for use

According to the instructions, etamzilat is effective in:
- Bleedings occurring during and after surgical interventions on all well vascularized (filled with blood vessels) tissues in obstetrics and gynecology, ENT practice, dentistry, plastic surgery, urology, ophthalmology;
- Menorrhagia, including primary, as well as in women with intrauterine contraceptive;
- Bleeding gums;
- Nasal bleeding;
- Diabetic microangiopathy, including hemophthalmus, hemorrhagic diabetic retinopathy, etc .;
- Hemorrhagic disorders of cerebral circulation in newborns, including premature infants.
In accordance with the instructions to Ditsinonu, the use of the drug is contraindicated if the patient found:
- Neoplastic (tumor) diseases of lymphatic and hematopoietic tissues, including osteosarcoma, myeloblastic and lymphoblastic leukemia;
- Acute porphyria;
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the tablets / solution.
Dicionon is used with caution in the treatment of patients with thrombosis or thromboembolism in the history, as well as in cases when the cause of bleeding is an overdose of anticoagulants.
Dosing and Administration
The optimal daily dose of Ditsinona in tablet form for an adult - from 10 to 20 mg per 1 kg of body weight. Divide it into 3 or 4 receptions.
As a rule, the average single dosage is 250-500 mg, in exceptional cases it is increased to 750 mg. The multiplicity of applications Ditsinona the same, 3-4 times a day.
In menorrhagia, the daily dose of etamzilat is from 750 mg to 1 g. Ditsinon begin to take from the 5th day of the expected menstruation to 5th day of the next cycle.
After surgery, it is recommended to take the drug every 6 hours at 250-500 mg. The pill continues until the risk of bleeding persists.
For a child, a single dose is 10-15 mg per 1 kg of body weight. The multiplicity of applications - 3-4 times a day.
The instructions to Ditsinon indicated that the solution for injection is intended for slow intravenous or intramuscular injections. In cases where the agent is diluted with saline, the injection should be done immediately.
For an adult, the daily dose is 10-20 mg / kg / day, it should be divided into 3-4 injections.
For prophylactic purposes during surgery, Dicionon is administered intravenously or intramuscularly at a dose of 250-500 mg approximately one hour before surgery. In neonatal practice, Dicine is injected into a muscle or very slowly into a vein at a dose of 12.5 mg / kg (this dose of etamzilat corresponds to 0.1 ml of solution). Treatment begins in the first two hours of the child's life.
The use of Ditsinona may be accompanied by headaches, paresthesia of the lower extremities, dizziness, heartburn, nausea, a feeling of heaviness in the epigastric region, flushing of the skin of the face, allergic reactions, a decrease in systolic pressure.
Dicineon injection solution is intended exclusively for use in clinics and hospitals.
It is forbidden to mix the solution in the same syringe with any other drug. It is contraindicated to apply the solution in case it has changed color.
It should be borne in mind that Ditsinon dose of 10 mg / kg, administered one hour before dextran prevents their antiplatelet effect. And Ditsinon, introduced after dextrans, does not have a hemostatic effect.
Dicine is incompatible with sodium lactate and sodium bicarbonate solutions for injections. If necessary, it can be combined with sodium menadione with bisulfite and aminocaproic acid.
One tablet Ditsinona contains 60.5 mg of lactose (permissible highest dose of this substance - 5 grams). Tablets are contraindicated in patients with lactase deficiency, congenital glucose intolerance, impaired glucose absorption and galactose.
Although the Dicineon solution is intended for intramuscular and intravenous administration, it can be applied topically, for example, after tooth extraction or in the presence of another wound.
