Dibazol - a drug with a vasodilator, antispasmodic, hypotensive, moderate immunomodulatory effects. The drug, acting on the smooth muscles of arterioles, venules, blood vessels of internal organs, reduces their tone and blood pressure, respectively. Dibazol is widely used in neurology, the treatment of arterial hypertension.
Release form and composition
Dibazol is available in the form of tablets and solution for injection, the active substance of which is bendazole.
Dibazol tablets excipients are lactose, talc, calcium stearate, potato starch, polyvinylpyrrolidone.
Dibazol tablets are available in 4 and 20 mg in a contoured cell-free package of 10 pieces; 0.5 and 1% solution in 2 ml ampoules, 10 ampoules per package.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Dibazol is used for:
- Artery spasm (peripheral arterial spasm, coronary spasm);
- Spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs (intestinal colic, peptic ulcer);
- Neurological diseases (peripheral facial nerve palsy, residual effects of poliomyelitis).
According to the instructions, Dibazol is not used when the patient has hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Dosing and Administration
Dibazol tablets are intended for oral administration.
They are taken 2 hours before a meal or 2 hours after a meal.
Adults are prescribed tablets, usually 2-3 times a day, 20-50 mg short courses or 3-4 week course.
For neurological diseases, tablets are taken once a day or every other day, 5 mg (5-10 doses).
Dosage tablets Dibazol in childhood:
- Till 12 months - once a day on 1 mg;
- 1-3 years - once a day, 2 mg;
- 4-8 years - once a day, 3 mg;
- 9-12 years - once a day, 4 mg;
- Over 12 years old - once a day, 5 mg.
If necessary, it is possible to repeat the course of drug treatment.
Solution for injection is intended for intravenous or intramuscular administration.
For the relief of hypertensive crisis, 30-40 mg of the drug is administered.
When exacerbation of arterial hypertension with a strong increase in blood pressure, 20-30 mg of the drug is administered 2-3 times a day intramuscularly for 8-14 days.
With the use of Dibazol, adverse reactions may develop predominantly allergic in nature.
When using the drug in high doses, it is possible sweating and feeling hot.
Prolonged use of Dibazol may result in deterioration of ECG performance due to a decrease in cardiac output.
The drug should be used carefully in elderly patients.
Dibazol should not be used for long-term therapy of hypertension.
You can use the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The simultaneous use of Dibazol and Clonidine, Reserpine, Phentolamine leads to an increase in the antihypertensive effect, which should be taken into account when prescribing the patient several antihypertensive drugs of different groups.
The simultaneous use of Dibazol with papaverine increases the antispasmodic action.
The immunostimulating effect of Dibazol is enhanced by ascorbic acid.

Terms and conditions of storage
Dibazol is stored at a temperature of 5-30º in places with limited access for children, not more than four years.
