Dentinox is a dental drug used to prevent inflammation and pain when teething milk teeth.
Release form and composition
Dentinox is produced in the form of a greenish-yellow homogeneous slightly opalescent gel with a characteristic smell of menthol and chamomile, in tubes of 10 g.
The composition of 1 g of the product includes 150 mg of chamomile flowers tincture of pharmaceutical, 3.2 mg of Lauromacrogol 600, 3.4 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride and the following excipients:
- Sodium hydroxide;
- Sodium saccharinate;
- Disodium edetate;
- Purified water;
- Propylene glycol.
Indications for use
Dentinox is used in the eruption of milk (permanent) teeth, accompanied by inflammation, pain, and irritation of the gums.
The use of Dentinox is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to the components included in its composition.
Dosing and Administration
In the absence of a medical prescription, a small amount of gel with a cotton swab or a clean finger is applied to the gum at the site of teething and lightly rubbed. Dentinox should be applied two or three times a day after feeding the baby and immediately before bedtime.
The gel can be used during the period of eruption of all milk and permanent teeth.
The instructions to Dentinox indicate that the drug with hypersensitivity to the individual components that make up its composition, can cause allergic reactions.
Cases of overdose funds so far have not been registered.
When applying Dentinox, it is important not to let the gel get into the eyes.
The drug does not contain preservatives and sugar, and therefore does not cause dental caries.
Drug synonyms are not released. The analogs of Dentinox include Halls Max, Calgel, Tenflex, Novosept Forte, Recutan, Holisal, Stomatofit, Poliminerol, Maraslavin, Kamistad and Dentagttal.
Terms and conditions of storage
In accordance with the instructions, Dentinox should be stored in a dark, dry and out of reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºC.
Pharmacies are dispensed over-the-counter. The shelf life of the gel, subject to the recommendations of the manufacturer, is three years. An open tube should be used within 12 months.
