Delufen is a homeopathic drug used to treat diseases of the nasal mucosa.
Release form and composition
Delufen is released as a nasal spray, in plastic bottles of 20 ml each with a dispenser dispenser included. Spray is a clear, colorless liquid with a weak salty taste.
The composition of the 100 ml funds include the following active ingredients:
- 10 ml Luffa D12;
- 10 ml Pulsatilla D6;
- 1 ml Sinapis nigra D2;
- 10 ml of Euphorbium D6;
- 10 ml Mercurius bijodatus D12.
Also spray Delufen contains excipients - 0.9% solution of sodium chloride and 0.01% benzacolonium chloride.
Indications for use
Delufen spray is used to treat the common cold of any etiology and form, as well as inflammation of the auditory tube.
Spray is not prescribed to children under 1 year. Also, the use of Delufen is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components included in its composition.
Patients with thyroid disease can use the drug only after consulting a doctor.
Dosing and Administration
In cases of first use, you must remove the protective cap with the bottle with the tool and repeatedly press the sprayer until spray spray appears.
It is recommended after each use of the drug to thoroughly wipe the dispenser, and then use the cap to close the bottle. Means should be entered into each nasal course.
The dose of Delufen is determined based on the age of the patient. Adults and patients aged 12 years and older are given two injections four times a day, and children 1–12 years old are given one injection four times a day.
During the first two days of treatment, the spray should be applied every 0.5-1 hours. Children from 1 year to 12 years of age are given one injection each, adults and children over 12 years old - two each. The tool can not be used more than eight times a day.
The duration of Delufen treatment directly depends on the disease, namely:
- In cases of acute catarrhal rhinitis, the drug is used within 1 week;
- With eustachitis, purulent rhinitis and sinusitis - for 2-3 weeks;
- Patients with chronic rhinitis apply a spray for 28-56 days;
- In cases of allergic rhinitis, seasonal fever and hay fever, Delufen is used for 7 to 28 days.
If necessary, you can conduct repeated courses of drug treatment.
Since the spray contains benzocolonium chloride, bronchospasm can develop. The instructions to Delufen also indicated that the agent may cause allergic reactions and increased salivation.
Cases of overdose of the drug to date has not been registered.
It should be borne in mind that in the first days of administration of Delufen, secretion may increase and serous-mucous discharge from the nose may appear. Such manifestations are a sign of the action of the drug and indicate the release of accumulated mucus and effective drainage of the paranasal sinuses and nasal cavity.
Since the components of plant origin are included in Delufen, during the storage period of the preparation agent, turbidity of the solution may be observed. This does not affect the effectiveness of the remedy.
The drug does not affect the patient's ability to drive motor vehicles and complex mechanisms.
Delufen can be used simultaneously with any drugs and combined with traditional methods of treatment of diseases of the nasal cavity.
Synonyms means are not allowed. Analogs of Delufen are Kameton, Aktifed, Zinnabsin, Rhinital, Pinosol, Vokkacept and Rinofluimucil.
Terms and conditions of storage
In accordance with the instructions, Delufen should be stored in a dry, out of reach of children and protected from light at room temperature.
You can get the drug in pharmacies without a doctor's prescription. The shelf life of Delufen, subject to the recommendations of the manufacturer, is five years. After opening, the drug should be used within two months.
