Broncho-munal is an immunostimulating drug of bacterial origin.
Release form and composition
The drug is available in the form of:
- Broncho-moon blue colored body with a lid containing 7 mg of a lyophilized lysate containing the following bacteria: Streptoccus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Klebsiella ozaenae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxelara-chyrachlokele-chyrachlorachlorachlorachlorachlorachlorachlorachlorachlorachlora humaneye, auraemusera, auraemusera, aureus
- A capsule with a white body and a blue lid of Broncho-moon P, containing 3.5 mg of the lyophilized lysate of the same bacteria.
Auxiliary substances used in the manufacture of medicines are anhydrous sodium glutamate, indigotin, pregelatinized starch, magnesium stearate, anhydrous propyl gallate, mannitol, titanium dioxide and gelatin.
Capsules are sold in 10 pcs. in blister packs packed in cartons of 1 or 3 pcs.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Bronchomunal modulates the immune response of the body, as well as stimulates humoral and cellular immunity. Thus, it helps to reduce the frequency and severity of infectious diseases, thereby reducing the need for antibiotics.
Given the properties of the components included in the preparation, this medicine is prescribed:
- For the treatment of infectious diseases of the respiratory tract (as an immunomodulating agent in the complex therapy);
- For the prevention of often recurrent infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract: rhinitis, otitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, chronic bronchitis.
The use of Broncho-munala, according to the instructions, is contraindicated:
- With increased sensitivity to its components;
- Children up to 6 months.
Dosing and Administration
For children over 12 years old and adults, the drug is prescribed at a dosage of 7 mg (Broncho-moon), for children from 6 months to 12 years - at a dose of 3.5 mg (Broncho-moon P).
Take the medication should be 1 capsule per day, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach. Small children and people who have difficulty swallowing pills can open the capsule and dissolve its contents in a small amount of tea, juice or milk.
In order to prevent Broncho-munal, according to the instructions, take for 10 days, then make a 20-day break. Such courses are conducted 3.
In the acute period of the disease, 1 capsule per day should be taken until all symptoms disappear, but not more than 10 days. In the next 2 months, prophylactic administration of the drug according to the above scheme is recommended; 10 days of application Broncho-munala, then a 20-day break, etc.
According to numerous reviews of patients who took the drug or gave it to their children, the Broncho-munal in the vast majority of cases is well tolerated and does not have any serious side effects if the recommended dosage regimen is observed. However, there are documented cases of increased body temperature in patients receiving a medication and the appearance of disorders of the digestive system, in particular nausea, epigastric pain, diarrhea and vomiting. It is important to note that the described adverse reactions from the body, as a rule, are expressed slightly, and therefore do not require discontinuation of the drug.
It is recommended to stop the use of Broncho-munal in the event of the development of hypersensitivity reactions, expressed in the form of skin rash, itching, dermatitis and other skin and allergic phenomena.
Cases of overdose of this drug in medical practice have not been registered, however, children under 12 years should not be given capsules in a dosage of 7 mg.
In the event that the patient is shown the use of an oral vaccine, Bronchomunal should not be used for 4 weeks.
The drug can be administered simultaneously with other drugs, including antibacterial. However, it should be borne in mind that its effectiveness is reduced in acute intestinal diseases.
Negative impact on visual acuity, the rate of psychophysical reactions and the ability to concentrate attention medication does not have.
The effect of the drug on fetal development of the fetus has not been reliably established. It has also not been studied whether the components of the drug penetrate into breast milk and affect negatively the baby. For this reason, the decision on the appropriateness of Broncho-munala during pregnancy and lactation should be made only by the doctor, carefully comparing the expected benefits for the woman and the potential risks to her child. If the pregnancy has already occurred while taking the drug, you should consult with your doctor about the need to discontinue the course of treatment.

According to the recommendations of the manufacturer, it should be stored in a dry place protected from moisture and sunlight. The optimum storage temperature is from 15 to 25 ºС. Under these conditions, the shelf life of the capsules is 5 years.
