Avamys nasal spray consists of a glass vial placed in a plastic case with a protective cap. This cap covers the end of the sprayer. On one side of the plastic case there is a metering button, when pressed, the spray is fed through the sprayer.
Before using Avamys, it is recommended to check the device as follows:
- Shake the vial without removing the protective cap;
- Pull the cap up slightly to remove it;
- Press the dispenser button firmly at least six times (this is necessary for sufficient release of the spray into the air).
Before each use of Avamys, thoroughly clean the nasal passages, shake the medicine bottle and perform the following actions:
- Tilt your head slightly forward;
- While holding the spray bottle in a vertical position, carefully place the nebulizer in the nasal passage;
- The tip of the spray should be directed to the opposite side of the nose, so that the drug is evenly distributed in the nasal cavity;
- Inhale with a nose and simultaneously press the dispenser so that the spray gets into the nasal cavity;
- Remove the nebulizer from the nose and exhale with the mouth.
If the spray accidentally gets into your eyes, you should rinse them with water. To introduce the spray into the other nasal passage, you must perform the same procedure again.
After each use of the medication, wipe the spray tip and protective cap with a dry cloth.
