Artron Complex

Arthron Complex is a combination drug with a pronounced chondroprotective effect.

Release form and composition

The drug is available in the form of coated tablets. 1 tablet contains:

• 500 mg of glucosamine hydrochloride;
• 500 mg of chondroitin sulfate.

Indications for use

According to the instructions, Arthron Complex is used for the treatment of patients with inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including:

• Osteoarthritis;
• Osteochondrosis;
• Shoulder-blade periarthritis;
• Spondyloarthrosis.

In addition, the drug is used to treat patients with chondropathy, osteopathy and periodontal disease. Arthron Complex is prescribed to athletes for the prevention and treatment of joint damage during high physical exertion. The drug is effective for reducing the recovery period after fractures and surgical interventions on the musculoskeletal system.

Contraindications

The use of Arthron Complex is contraindicated in case of individual hypersensitivity to the components of the composition. The drug is not prescribed to children under 15 years of age and women during pregnancy and lactation, as well as patients with severely impaired renal function. Arthron Complex is used with caution in patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and / or kidneys.

Dosing and Administration

The drug is administered orally. Tablets should be swallowed whole, without crushing or chewing, with a sufficient amount of liquid. The duration of the course of treatment is chosen by the attending physician individually for each patient. In most cases, it is about 3 months.

Adults and children over 15 years of age are usually prescribed 1 tablet 1-3 times a day. The dose of the drug can be reduced by achieving the desired therapeutic effect.

After treatment, the therapeutic effect may persist for a long period. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated.

Side effects

Arthron Complex is well tolerated by patients, but in some cases the following undesirable effects have been observed:

• On the part of the gastrointestinal tract: flatulence, loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea, pain in the epigastric region;
• Allergic reactions: itching, skin rash, urticaria.

The use of the Arthron Complex in women during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended, as there are no reliable data on its safety for the fetus. In some cases, when treatment is necessary during lactation, you should consult with your doctor and stop breastfeeding during therapy.

The combined use of this drug with antibiotics causes a decrease in the absorption of chloramphenicol and penicillins, as well as increased absorption of tetracyclines in the digestive tract.

When used simultaneously with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticosteroids, the Arthron Complex enhances their action.

The combined use of the drug with vitamin-mineral complexes leads to an increase in the effectiveness of Arthron Complex.
