Artradol refers to drugs that regulate the metabolism in cartilage tissue.
Release form and composition
The drug is a porous mass (lyophilisate), compacted into a tablet, on the basis of which a solution is prepared for i / m administration. The lyophilisate is white with possible shades of yellow.
One ampoule of the drug contains 100 mg of the active active ingredient - chondroitin sulfate sodium.
Ampoules with a volume of 2 ml in an amount of 5 or 10 pieces are located in plastic pallets and packed in cardboard boxes.
Indications for use
Therapy with Artradol is advisable for degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine and joints, in particular, for primary arthrosis, intervertebral osteochondrosis, osteoarthrosis with predominant lesion of large joints.
Contraindication
Children should not be treated with Artradol (since the safety and efficacy of the drug have not been established), as well as to persons with hypersensitivity to its components.
Taking the drug is allowed during pregnancy, during the lactation period, with bleeding and tendency to them, thrombophlebitis, however, it is recommended to use caution during consumption.
Dosing and Administration
The drug is administered intramuscularly. The contents of the ampoule must be dissolved in 1 ml of water for injection immediately before use. The dosage recommended in the instructions for Artradol is 100 mg, the frequency of administration is every second day. In the case of good tolerability of the drug is allowed to increase the dose to 200 mg, starting with the fourth injection.
The number of injections administered during one course is from 25 to 35. A repeated course, if necessary, is carried out six months later. The duration of the re-course is discussed with your doctor.
