Allokin-Alpha is a drug that is included in the group of antiviral and immunomodulatory drugs.
Release form and composition
Allokin-Alpha is a lyophilisate for the preparation of injection solution. There are three forms of drug release:
- Vials of 1 mg in the amount of three pieces, packed in plastic contour pallets;
- Ampoules with 1 mg Allokin-Alpha. Comes with an ampoule knife, packed in 5 pieces in contour cells. Each box contains 2 cells;
- Ampoules packed 10 pieces in one contour cell. Each box has 1 cell.
Indications for use Allokin-Alpha
The drug is recommended for use in:
- Human papillomavirus infection in chronic form, caused by human papilloma viruses of oncogenic type;
- Recurrent herpes types 1 and 2 in a chronic form.
In addition, the use of Allokin-Alpha is advisable in the treatment of the icteric form of hepatitis B in combination with other drugs.
Contraindications
The instructions for Allokin-Alpha state that the administration of the drug should be abandoned when there are pronounced autoimmune diseases, if there is hypersensitivity to the components of Allokin-Alpha, as well as during lactation and pregnancy. In addition, the drug is not recommended for children.
Dosage and Administration Allokin-Alpha
The drug should be administered subcutaneously.
The standard course of treatment for Allokin-Alpha is 6 injections at a dose of 1 mg, performed every other day. Thus, the therapy of infections caused by human papilloma viruses of the oncogenic type is carried out.
Standard therapy for recurrent herpes lies in the administration of 3 injections of the drug, 1 mg each, performed every other day.
Treatment of moderate forms of acute hepatitis B is carried out by administering 9 injections of the drug in 1 mg: 3 times a week for three weeks. It is necessary to begin treatment only after confirmation of the diagnosis.

Hepatitis B therapy should be administered a maximum of 7 days after the occurrence of jaundice.
