Alginatol candles are inserted into the anus after a bowel movement. If by the time when it is time to use the drug, bowel emptying under the influence of natural reflexes has not happened, you should put an enema. After that, wash the anus area with warm water and soap, and then wash your hands. Wipe the remaining moisture with a towel is not necessary - water will facilitate the process of introducing candles. Getting out of the contour package, the suppository should be inserted with the index finger (after cutting the nail on it - in order to avoid traumatization of the mucous membrane and walls of hemorrhoidal veins) until it loses the feeling of resistance.
The drug Alginatol can be used to stop bleeding from the rectum. If 60 minutes after the administration of the suppository, the bleeding is still continuing, you should call an ambulance.
With Alginatol, you can stop bleeding periodically, but doctors strongly recommend that you be examined to evaluate the full clinical picture and prescribe appropriate treatment that will help to completely overcome the disease or, at a minimum, achieve a stable remission.
