Adam's root (or, as it is also called, unavailable, fiery root, common tamus) is a plant with wound-healing, analgesic, tonic, anti-inflammatory, blood-purifying, regenerating properties. Its root stimulates blood circulation and normalizes metabolic processes occurring in tissues.
The composition of the tamus ordinary has not been fully studied, but it is reliably established that it contains
- Alkaline-like substances;
- Aromatic multinuclear substances;
- Organic acids: oxalic, palmitic, brinolic, linoleic, oleic and formic;
- Carotenoids lycopene and lipoxanthin;
- Steroids (in particular dioscin);
- Essential oil;
- Methyl esters of acids;
- Nitrogen-containing compounds.
Useful properties of the Adam's root
The saponins and mucus contained in the Adam root relieve inflammation and restore the mucosa. Therefore, tinctures and decoctions from this plant are taken orally to treat inflammatory diseases of the urogenital system (up to sexual impotence), stomach and intestines, respiratory organs (including pulmonary tuberculosis and pneumonia), inflammation of the kidneys and appendages.
Carotenes, lycopene, lipoxanthin and steroid compounds tone up the walls of blood vessels and purify the blood. Therefore, Adam root has long been used in heart disease, paralysis, epilepsy, hypertension, and diabetes.
Outside the plant is used as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic in the treatment of diseases of the joints and bones, as a rubbing - for rheumatism, radiculitis, bruises and bruises. Pectins and fatty oils, which are part of the fiery root, activate blood circulation in diseased places, thereby stimulating the nerve endings of the skin.
Tamus is an excellent painkiller, effectively eliminating pain after sprains, fractures and other injuries.

One of the main properties of Adam's root is the ability to reduce inflammation. For this reason, the rhizome is added to various drugs designed to eliminate the inflammatory processes in the human body.
With the help of Adam's root tincture, ascites, paralysis, epilepsy, gout, constipation and heart disease are treated. It relieves pain after fractures, dislocations and sprains. Take the infusion and just like that - in order to stimulate the immune system and improve metabolism.
The powder is used for weeping diathesis, boils, ulcers, eczema, wounds, bruises, bruises, warts and age spots.
A high effect from the external use of Adam's root as poultices and rubbing in the treatment of diseases of the joints, gout, osteochondrosis, rheumatism, sciatica, polyarthritis and sciatica has been noted.

Homemade drugs from adam's root
Recipe tincture of Adam's root for the treatment of diseases of the joints, osteochondrosis and sciatica: 200 g of chopped dry root placed in a jar, pour 0.5 alcohol, close the lid and insist for 5-7 days. Rub infusion in the affected areas.
For pain relief it is better to use poultices. For this, the root of the tamus must be steamed in boiling water, wrapped in gauze and applied to the sore spot.
In case of bronchial asthma and peptic ulcer such medicine is prepared: the root is very finely crushed (preferably as a powder), combined with bee honey or butter in a 1: 1 ratio. The resulting mixture is taken orally for 1 tsp. three or four times a day before meals.
For the treatment of inflammatory processes such infusion is prepared: crushed 1. tbsp. root, pour 0.5 liters. alcohol insist for 10 days. Take 1 tbsp. l solution, pre-diluted in 50 ml of pure water, three times a day 30 minutes after meals.
The properties of the Adam's root are also used to eliminate the effects of a stroke. For this, 1 tbsp. crushed root pour 300 ml of alcohol or vodka, insist for 7 days. Then the tincture is filtered and taken twice a day after meals, 25-30 drops, diluted in half a glass of water.
Recipe for inflammation of the bladder: Pour 100 g of finely chopped root and pour 1 bottle of dry red appearance. Insist 3-4 days, strain and drink 1 tbsp. after meal.
Such a remedy will help to get rid of eczema and warts: mix crushed root and 3% boric ointment in the same proportions, if possible add a little of freezer powder. The resulting mixture must be lubricated with the affected areas - the more often, the better.
