A-cerumen is a medicament designed to prevent the appearance or removal of the resulting sulfur plugs and is also used for regular hearing hygiene.
Release form and composition
A-cerumen is produced in the form of a solution, in 2 ml of polymer dropper bottles. One ml of the solution contains 2 g of TEA-coco-hydrolyzed collagen, 0.6 g of cocobetaine and 0.15 g of PEG 120-methyl glucose dioleate.
Indications for use
In accordance with the instructions, A-cerumen is prescribed for the prevention of sulfur accumulation, regular hygiene and dissolution of existing sulfuric plugs in the external auditory canal.
The use of A-cerumenum is contraindicated in patients younger than 2.5 years, with hypersensitivity to the components of the agent, ear infection and perforation of the eardrum. Also, the medication is not prescribed to patients in whose eardrums there is a shunt.
Dosing and Administration
The contents of one vial of the drug are buried in equal portions in each ear canal, held for 1 minute, and then each ear is washed with 0.9% sodium chloride solution. The dosage of A-cerumen in cases of ear plugs is 1 single-use bottle twice a day for three or four days.
For regular hygiene of the organs of hearing and prevention of earwax accumulation, one bottle of product is used twice in seven days. The duration of therapy is determined by the doctor individually for each patient.
When used, A-cerumen in some cases causes hypersensitivity reactions to the components of the drug.
